A food lover friend of mine told me that, if there was one food blog I should follow religiously, it was yours. Perhaps I'm friends with her because she's so perceptive! Thanks for being my best gift of 2012. Happy Holidays to all y'all.

Elaine,

As an old Italian cook who rarely thinks anyone can out cook him, may I say that yours is the only blog I always read, and the only recipes I always try. Buono Natale to you and yours and may you have a blessed New Year.

Dear Elaine, you are an artist through and through. I impressed my chef with the orangettes that you posted and even brought some to my friends in Germany, they were impressed. All your picture photos ae so beautiful, and your lovely trips, and travel tales, you could be anything. And I am sure your family is very very lucky for having such a lovely talented mum. I wish you all at home happy holidays and all the best for the new year.

Dear Elaine,
We absolutely LOVE your blog and visit frequently looking to the latest. You have enriched our lives through your delicious guidance and warm ways. We recently started cooking and baking more outside with a pizza oven we got through http://www.fontanaforniusa.com. We'd love to see some recipes and advice on using wood fired ovens as it's been kind of trial by error... Though most of the time we do get it right.

Best of all in 2013,
George
